Exploring Thermos

Hello!  Thank you for visiting my auction!  I've run out of space and will be converting my Buy It Now listings into auctions over time.  I plan on listing 5-10 items a week until I've sold everything.  Please check out my other listings, and see if there's anything you'd want before it goes to auction.  I'll be listing my lunchbox collection first over the next few months.  This will be one of the largest and best condition collections to hit the market since the Joe Soucy collection from several years ago.  In fact, quite a few of these boxes were purchased in that auction.  I've also got a ton of AFA graded action figures and some very cool odds and ends.  I’ll combine shipping on multiple wins to help you save money. The condition of the lunchboxes is determined by the grader and opinions can obviously vary.  However, for reference, I use the following scale: GEM MINT - Unused with only 0-3 of the tiniest spots of shelf wear MINT - Likely unused with 3-10 minor spots and no major issues NEAR MINT - Used or unused with mostly minor spots and a few moderate spots of wear, possible slight spotting of hardware, small dings, etc EXCELLENT - Moderate wear is more prevalent, but main graphics are largely free of wear; moderate spotting of hardware, dings, paint loss, worn corners, etc GOOD - Major issues can exist, but box is still displayable FAIR - Major issues are prevalent and box is usually used as a placeholder until a better condition box is found Up for auction is an awesome, ultra rare Japanese thermos.  This is the Exploring thermos and it features a blue car with checkered flags.  Not sure when it was produced, but guessing early 70s from the lid and general design.  It might even be newer, but there's not another on Ebay and I honestly have never seen another one in my years of collecting.  I'd call it EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT.  It was manufactured by Zojirushi and shows moderate to minor use.  Someone has written something in Japanese on the front too.  I think it would come off easily, but I haven't tried.  Please see all pics and ask any questions prior to buying.  Shipping covers all packing & shipping costs and insurance for the full purchase value.  I take pride in my packaging, as I am a collector first and know how frustrating it can be to get something that's damaged because it was poorly packed.
