Carafe measures approximately* 9 3/8" tall. About the Christmas Tree pattern: The Story of Spode Christmas Tree : In 1938, Harold Holdway, a young designer in Spode's England office was asked to design a Christmas pattern for the American market. He was faced with a dilemma...he had never seen a decorated Christmas tree! In his first sketch, the presents were suspended from the branches. "Wouldn't that cause them to droop?"he wondered. He amended his sketches when told the American tradition was to place gifts under the tree. Holdway used another Christmas icon in a most delightful way, adorning the top of the tree with jolly St. Nick. We find his design both unique and charming, as do Spode Christmas Tree lovers the world over. ----------------- I will combine shipping. I list my items at a price that I think is fair. If you do not like the price, please feel free to purchase the items from someone else. I will not respond to offers. * I use a Lufkin brand tape measure to measure all of my items. Depending on how you measure, and what you use to measure, the measurements of the item may vary slightly. I do my best to list the size accurately, by the size may vary by 1/8". I don't use "stock" or manufacturer's sizing. I measure the actual item that I have. ----------------- I accept returns. Buyer is responsible for the shipping (both ways) on returned items. You will only receive a refund on the cost of the item, not shipping charges. I use the USPS shipping calculator for shipping. I enter the weight of the item plus packaging and then USPS does the rest. I cannot lower shipping because it is determined by USPS, not me. Please ask questions if you are unsure about an item. I would rather you ask questions than be disappointed. I will do local pick up on any of my items. If you live in the greater Philadelphia area - please contact me about pick ups in Bucks County.
