This auction is for a Spode Christmas Tree Thermos/Carafe & Lid. The carafe is in good condition. No chips or cracks. Minimal wear, some stains as pictured. Please use the zoom feature to make sure you are happy with the condition. The carafe measures 10" tall (10 3/4" with lid). Tag on bottom reads 40CTR500 Made in China. About the Christmas Tree pattern from Spode. The Story of Spode Christmas Tree : In 1938, Harold Holdway, a young designer in Spode's England office was asked to design a Christmas pattern for the American market. He was faced with a dilemma...he had never seen a decorated Christmas tree! In his first sketch, the presents were suspended from the branches. "Wouldn't that cause them to droop?"he wondered. He amended his sketches when told the American tradition was to place gifts under the tree. Holdway used another Christmas icon in a most delightful way, adorning the top of the tree with jolly St. Nick. We find his design both unique and charming, as do Spode Christmas Tree lovers the world over.

I use the USPS shipping calculator for shipping. I enter the weight of the item plus packaging and then USPS does the rest. I cannot lower shipping because it is determined by USPS, not me.

I will do local pick up on any of my items. If you live in the greater Philadelphia area - please contact me about pick ups in Bucks County. It saves me on packing materials and you on shipping costs.
