It runs silently and cooled down to the preset -80C in about 45 minutes time according to my digital thermometer. We let it run for 3 days, and it ran perfectly. The door gasket seals tightly. Very nice unit, ready to use as soon as you receive it. Has two locks in the open position but doesn't come with keys.
