Up for sale is a Thermo MaxQ 2000 Digital Orbital Shaker model SHKE2000 catalog number 4314. This heavy duty mixer came to us with a minor power issue that was repaired and upgraded on the circuit board. We spun it up and noticed a single slightly noisy bearing - we replaced the bearing set on that shaft for smooth and quiet rotation. The belt is excellent (easy and inexpensive swap if necessary). We tested at various speeds, sample weights, and durations - this unit functions as it should. Rotational accuracy tested with a tachometer within limits (set to 150, measured 151). Higher speeds and heavy samples require the unit to be fastened to a table as this unit has enough power to shake the entire table! Id rate this unit as Excellent except for minor scuffs (one right on the ID badge). See photos and video of actual unit in action. New Solaris and MaxQ shakers of this capacity start at over $4,000.
