The Thermo Scientific Savant SC250EXP SpeedVac is a large-capacity concentrator with high boiling point solvents, strong acids, and bases. This Speedvac system uses four IR heat lamps for drying those solvents, a heated glass lid to quickly ramp up the temperature for effective evaporation rate and to prevent condensation, and dual vacuum control is used for ramp and level and to avoid bumping of freezing samples. The Savant SC250EXP is Kalrez and PTFE coated along the entire vapor path for maximum chemical resistance and durability. This vacuum concentrator is also built for high throughput with a large mouth glass condensation flask and extra wide tubing. The Thermo Scientific Savant SC250EXP is outfitted with a microplate rotor and an upfront digital display that shows parameters such as time, temperature, and vacuum.
The Thermo RVT5105 Refrigerated Vapor Trap effectively condenses and traps various solvent vapors that can contaminate and degrade vacuum pump oil. The RVT5105 has a 4L capacity; ultra-low -105°C temperature traps high volatile solvents. By using a sealed refrigeration system, this vapor trap eliminates the need for consumable coolants like dry ice or acetone, rapidly cooling solvents, and minimizes the waiting period. The glass flask is easy to remove when you need to change the solvent.
