Model Description The Thermo SPD131DDA is made for drying biological and non-biological materials present in a large number of solvents and is made the concentrator, vapor trap, vacuum pump, and accessories. This small-capacity concentrator deals with alternate solvents for different applications and is built for aqueous solvent applications and vacuum evaporation.  This speedvac concentrator uses low concentrations of non-aggressive organic solvents like Acetonitrile and Methanol. The Thermo SPD131DDA has an integrated automatic bleeder valve, variable drying rate, and connector for the vacuum source.  This microprocessor-controlled speed vac has membrane touchpad switches and displays time and temperature settings, and can be operated as a manual/auto timed run. This speed vac also features a safety cover lock and radiant cover for accelerated evaporation. Testing All buttons on the controller are working. The unit was connected to a vacuum pump. Heating works. Rotor runs smoothly and quietly. The chamber was evacuated to 15 torr and we verified the automatic bleeder valve works as intended.
