Thermo Scientific Super Nuova SP131825Q Hot Plate Stirrer (7"x7")
This hotplate is clean and fully operational. It has some minor scratches on the body (see the pictures for the cosmetic conditions). It heats very well and spins smoothly in the entire speed range. All knobs and buttons function like new. It has a timer that can be used to turn the plate off automatically at a preset time. It also has 4 user defined preset heat/stir settings to recall conveniently. This unit does not come with power cord (IEC320 C15 style, or the normal US computer power cord notched out accordingly). The beaker and the stir bar are not included.
Here is a quick instruction to program a preset:
- Adjust the heat and/or stir features to your desired setpoints.
- Press and hold one of the presets and the unit will beep indicating those setpoints have been stored in memory. The presets will be held in memory, even if the unit is unplugged, until you choose to override it with another preset.
- To activate one of the presets, quickly press the corresponding number and the stir and heat features will automatically adjust themselves.
It may be helpful to set one of the presets at “OFF” “OFF.” This way, the heating and stirring can be shut off quickly.
