When plugged in and let run it reached -80 in under 2 hours, and when left running overnight it maintained that temperature. Runs quietly. The door seal is nice. It has a keyed power switch and lid lock but we do not have the keys. Both locks are in the open position. I believe you could purchase a key from the manufacturer if a key is required. There is a remote alarm terminal on the back. The digital display is nice. Very presentable for any facility. According to the specifications the temperature range ambient to -80C. It runs silently and cooled down to -80C in less than 2 hours time. We confirmed the display temperature is correct using an external digital thermometer (see pic). We ran this freezer for a few days to ensure it works properly and there are no issues. It maintained the set temperature accurately.  The door gasket seals tightly.
